Component 4: Practice Performance Assessment & Improvement
Overview
Under Component 4 of the OCC process for the specialty of Emergency Medicine, physicians must complete two independent practice performance improvement projects during each 10-year OCC cycle.
- Diplomates must complete an Initial Practice Assessment project during years 1-5 and years 6-10 of their own OCC cycle. No charts will be submitted. Physicians can visit the AOA Physician Portal to fill out an attestation form. Please note you will be required to sign into the site using your Osteopathic.org login information.
- Non-clinical physicians are required to complete all components of OCC except Component 4. If you are a non-clinical physician, please complete this online attestation form to notify AOBEM that you are not in active clinical practice.
