Component 3: Cognitive Assessment

Overview

To meet Component 3 requirements for Osteopathic Continuous Certification in the primary specialty of Emergency Medicine, you must complete a cognitive assessment program designed to evaluate your specialty medical knowledge and mastery of core competencies in the provision of health care. The AOBEM sets forth the following requirements for Component 3.

Does your AOBEM certificate expire in 2021 or beyond?

You are eligible to participate in the new online annual Continuous Osteopathic Recertification Examination (CORE).

You will need to complete the traditional written OCC exam.
