AOBFP appreciates and encourages input from physicians in training. AOBFP has created a Resident Ambassador Program to assist AOBFP by providing a resident\u2019s perspective with certain AOBFP activities, such as communication about the in-service examinations (ISEs), applying for certification (early entry, initial and OMT certification) and the AOBFP website. We are looking for family medicine residents enrolled in a recognized osteopathic program willing to serve a two-year term. Each program will have at least one resident ambassador.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Expectations of ambassadors<\/strong><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently enrolled as an osteopathic family medicine program resident<\/li>\n<li>Serve a two-year term<\/li>\n<li>Participate in two virtual meetings annually<\/li>\n<li>Assist AOBFP leadership in promoting the value of AOBFP certification to fellow residents and students through informative webinars, newsletter articles, emails and social media posts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><strong>Nomination criteria<\/strong><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>FM resident, PGY-2 and above at the start of their term<\/li>\n<li>Desired attributes include:\n<ul>\n<li>Strong people skills and professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Timeliness and ability to follow direction<\/li>\n<li>Team skills and ability to compromise<\/li>\n<li>Agreeable to AOA\u2019s conflict of interest, confidentiality and volunteer policies\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/certification.osteopathic.org\/family-physicians\/certification-process\/family-medicine\/exam-policies\/\">Exam policies<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/certification.osteopathic.org\/family-physicians\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/AOA-Code-of-Conduct_Irregular-and-Improper-Behavior.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AOA Code of Conduct<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aoaforms.formstack.com\/forms\/confidentiality_coi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Confidentiality policy<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><strong>Nomination process<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The resident\u2019s program director must complete a <a href=\"http:\/\/certification.osteopathic.org\/family-physicians\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/Resident-Ambassador-Program-Director-Nomination-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nomination form<\/a>.
