Primary Certification
The fees you pay for AOBR primary certification depend on whether you started your residency before or after July 1, 2015.
Fees for DOs with residency start dates on or after July 1, 2015:
If you began residency on or after July 1, 2015, you’ll pay certification fees as listed in the table below.
To register for initial certification, please complete the AOBR primary certification application and send in the first year’s payment. Registration begins July 1 and runs through Dec. 31 of each year. Annual fees are charged for every year you are in the initial certification process, beginning with your first year of residency. You will be sent your annual invoice in July of each year, as long as you are in the certification process. If you do not fully pass an examination on the first administration, a re-examination exam fee will apply.
