OSTEOPATHIC BOARD CERTIFICATION

Component 3: Cognitive Assessment

Overview

Every 10 years, board-certified physicians with a time-limited certificate must pass the relevant Osteopathic Continuous Certification (OCC) exam. To be eligible for the Sports Medicine OCC exam, you must have completed the other four components of OCC. The Sports Medicine OCC exam is given once each year and contains 100 questions.

You’ll be notified by mail up to two years before your existing certificate is set to expire, followed by a reminder mailing six months before the recertification exam.
