The American Osteopathic Association is pleased to announce an exciting collaboration with Doximity, the largest online professional medical network that includes more than 70% of all U.S. physicians. Through our work together, more than 125,000 osteopathic physicians who treat millions of patients each year in hospitals and health systems across the nation will be highlighted on both Doximity and U.S. News & World Report’s physician profiles.

US News survey: Register by Nov. 1

In addition, AOA board-certified physicians are now eligible to participate in the U.S. News’ Best Hospitals and Best Children’s Hospitals surveys. These annual lists, published by U.S. News and powered by Doximity, aim to help patients and caregivers find the best medical centers for themselves and their families. In order to participate in the surveys, physicians must hold at least one of the specialty board certifications listed in the eligibility table.

AOA board-certified physicians who would like to participate in the 2021 Best Hospitals survey must register as a new member on Doximity no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Nov. 1, 2020. The survey will be sent out in early 2021.

“In prior surveys, Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) were only able to participate in the U.S. News surveys if they were certified by a board member of the American Board of Medical Specialties,” explained Ben Harder, Chief of Health Analysis at U.S. News & World Report. “Through this partnership, we are thrilled to expand eligibility to physicians certified by the American Osteopathic Association.”

As registered Doximity members, DOs will also be able to take advantage of some of the network’s key benefits, including:
