Tuesday, August 25, 2020

The American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice (AOBFP) is pleased to announce that the Early Entry Initial Certification (EEIC) exam application is now available for residents.

This exam, which will be administered Jan. 16 – 30, 2021, allows eligible residents the opportunity to seek specialty board certification in Family Medicine while still in residency.

Osteopathic Family Medicine residents in their final year of an AOA approved/ACGME accredited training program, who have taken at least two AOBFP In-Service Examinations (ISE or ISE+) out of their three yearly in-service examinations during their residency, are eligible to apply for the EEIC exam. Please note, the EEIC application deadline is Oct. 31, with a final deadline and late fee of $100 on Dec. 15.

In preparation for the EEIC, the AOBFP hosted a live webinar for program directors and resident physicians on Monday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. CT to review benefits and eligibility requirements. You can now view it on YouTube.

If you need additional information, please contact the AOBFP at aobfp@osteopathic.org.
