Component 2: Lifelong Learning/Continuing Medical Education

Overview

Component 2 of the Osteopathic Continuous Certification process requires recertifying physicians to pursue lifelong learning through continuing medical education.

To complete component 2 requirements in the subspecialty of Addiction Medicine, a physician must earn a minimum of 120 hours of CME credit during each three-year CME cycle. Of these, at least 13 credits must be earned in the subspecialty of Addiction Medicine.
