OSTEOPATHIC BOARD CERTIFICATION

Component 1: Active Licensure

Overview

To complete Component 1 requirements for Osteopathic Continuous Certification in the primary specialty of Anesthesiology, a physician must:

  • Be a graduate of an AOA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine or an ACGME-accredited program.
  • Hold an active state license to practice medicine.
  • Have earned board certification through the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Currently practice in the specialty of Anesthesiology or one of its subspecialties.
