Component 1: Active Licensure

Overview

To complete Component 1 requirements for Osteopathic Continuous Certification in the primary specialty of Surgery, a physician must:

  • Hold an active state license to practice medicine. The AOBS requires that diplomates provide proof of valid and unrestricted license annually.
  • Adhere to the AOA Code of Ethics.
